Elizabeth Nurser is a daughter of Arthur Clifford Kimber’s brother George and holds the family archive, including the letters in this book.
She came to Britain from the University of California in 1954 to study at Cambridge and is co-editor with J.A. La Nauze of Walter Murdoch and Alfred Deakin on Books and Men (Melbourne UP).
She became a copy editor for Faber & Faber and Cambridge University Press before establishing her own publishing business specialising in local history. She lives in Suffolk with her husband, John.
